Seattle Workers to Receive Almost $1M in Back Wages
According to the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division, it has recovered almost $1 million in back wages for 206 employees of a security company based in Seattle. The company began missing payrolls in August 2009, resulting in unpaid back wages totaling $980,121. The Wage and Hour Division found the missed payrolls to be a violation of the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and the Contractor Work Hours Safety Standards Act (CWHSSA).
