The Headlines Say It All for Incidents of Workplace Violence

Within the past few years, we have heard of horrific incidents of violence in workplaces across the U.S.  On August 3, 2010, a warehouse driver shot and killed eight people before committing suicide at a beer distributor in Manchester, Connecticut.  On February 12, 2010, a professor at the University of Alabama Huntsville shot and killed three professors and injured three other employees.  On November 5, 2009, in Fort Hood, Texas, a psychiatrist for the U.S. Army shot and killed 13 people and injured 32 others.

ADAAA Final Rule Announced from the EEOC

While the Americans with Disability Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) was effective on
January 1, 2009, it was only recently that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced the final rule to define and determine how the Commission will analyze what constitutes a disability.
